About

About Pacifica Engineering

Pacifica Engineering is a multidisciplinary engineering firm headquartered in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. We work with owners, developers, contractors and public agencies who need engineering that is clear, coordinated and buildable.

Our approach

Built around the points where disciplines meet

On many projects, civil, water, structural and field responsibilities are divided among separate consultants. That arrangement works until one discipline’s assumption becomes another discipline’s problem, which usually surfaces in the field where it is most expensive to correct.

Pacifica is organized around those interfaces. We begin with what the project has to achieve, identify the constraints that can affect cost or schedule, design the disciplines together and remain involved through construction.

The result for our clients is clearer scope, faster answers and fewer surprises.

Headquarters

Why Rocky Mount

Rocky Mount takes its name from the rocky mound at the falls of the Tar River. The city grew up around the river and the railroad, and today it sits where I-95 meets US 64, at the center of eastern North Carolina’s manufacturing plants, distribution sites and river towns.

The work in this region is varied. Plants are expanding, sites are being prepared for industry, downtowns are being reinvested in, and communities are upgrading drainage after decades of severe storms. Being here keeps us close to the sites, the agencies and the conditions that shape projects in this part of the state.
